Manaaki Tray
Manaaki Tray
These exquisite tea trays are hand made by Dryburgh pottery in Tāmaki Makaurau. The mix of its organic texture, open shape and light-weight feel make this the ultimate taonga for your daily tea practice.
With a built in vase and made with ample space for a tea cup and toast or cake. These manaaki trays are perfect for breakfast in bed or various ways of enjoying tea rituals whether it’s served outside, with meditation, or as a special offering for guests / loved ones.
I love that the texture of these pieces give you a sense of closeness to papatūānuku the earth mother - where the material came from. And are also connected to the cosmic energy of Ranginui the sky father - as artist Kirstin Dryburgh said: “I call this range Nimbus being after the cloud formation.”
Hand thrown on a wheel. Very high fired stoneware clay. Lightly glazed, highly vitrified. Limited numbers available.
